A beautifully sculptural vintage 18K yellow gold turtle brooch from our Estate Jewelry collection, set with luminous opal cabochons and ruby eyes.
The turtle’s dimensional shell is set with a collection of oval opal cabochons, each displaying its own subtle play of color in soft flashes of blue, green, pink, and aqua. The opals are individually prong-set across the richly textured yellow gold shell, creating an organic arrangement that complements the natural character of the stones.
Two ruby eyes provide a tiny flash of saturated red, while the beautifully modeled head, feet, tail, and engraved shell details give this figural jewel wonderful personality and craftsmanship from every angle.
The reverse reveals the substantial gold construction and individual settings beneath the opals, along with a traditional pin-back closure.
