To preserve the beauty and functionality of your compass necklace, avoid exposure to water, excessive moisture, perfumes, lotions, and household chemicals. As this is a fully functional compass with a glass face and working internal mechanism, do not submerge or soak the pendant.
After wearing, gently wipe the brass chain and compass with a soft, dry cloth. If needed, the exterior may be carefully cleaned with a slightly damp cloth and dried immediately and thoroughly.
Brass naturally develops a warm patina over time, which we consider part of the character and beauty of the piece. If you prefer a brighter finish, the brass may be gently polished with an appropriate jewelry polishing cloth, taking care to avoid the glass face and compass mechanism.

Each compass is ethically handcrafted in small batches by artisans in India through Noah’s Ark International Exports, a Fair Trade organization founded in 1986. What began as a family workshop in Moradabad has grown into a collective of independent artisan workshops, preserving traditional craftsmanship while supporting sustainable livelihoods.
