FACTS & HISTORY: Peoples of the grasslands of Cameroon in Africa. The Kwifoyn society's governing complex usually adjoined or was next to the royal palace where the king resided and they worked with the king to rule the Bamileke People. The striking of wooden rods on the hollow metal gongs announced the beginning of ceremonies and were used for communication with the supernatural world and to connect with ancestors and deities.
