Taschen's New York, Hotels, Restaurants & Shops Book, one of Melissa favorite NYC books. We seek out and stock this vintage treasure whenever possible!
It's a treasure trove of a New York that is and was. From OG favorites that we still visit Bergdorf, Waverly Inn and Cipriani Downtown to the places that we thought still existed only in our memories. It's beautiful photographic walk downn memory lane, RIP Spotted Pig, Gramercy Park Hotel, The Library Bar at the Hudson and Barneys...sigh. That last one still stings. 🍎

FACTS & HISTORY: A CITY THAT DOESN'T SLEEP: NEW YORK, NEW YORK
Angelika Taschen has been behind the velvet rope, explored the secret, unmarked restaurants and beloved downtown delis, scoured Soho, Nolita and Tribeca's uber-stylish shops, and scoped out hotels uptown and downtown, from the sleek and chic to the hidden and charming. In this book she gives you a backstage pass that will let you access a New York that even a lot of New Yorkers miss out on. You'll sip Martinis on barstools designed by Mies van der Rohe, buy bagels from Russ's daughters, and sleep in a room with views of Bowery rooftops or of Frederick Law Olmsted's landmark Central Park. With this guide in hand you'll never have to worry that you're not "on the list
