Porcelain Chinoiserie Blue and White Cachepot Floral Motif

Regular price $95.00 Sale

Made from heavy porcelain, Porcelain Chinoiserie Blue and White Cachepot Floral Motif was inspired by pots decorated with designs from the Ming and Qing dynasties. The beautiful designs were hand painted with close attention to detail.

We refer to this as a Cachepot instead of a planter because it does not have a drainage hole in the bottom. It is made to hide a not-so-decorative planter.

In excellent vintage condition. Wear appropriate for age and use. Purchase this one-of-a-kind cachepot from Luxe Curations!

Facts & History: The word cachepot is French from the verb “cacher”, meaning "to hide" and is pronounced as CASH-PO (silent T). In the 19th-century, these were used to conceal a less attractive flower pot. Nowadays, you can find cachepots that come in various sizes and designs!
