Regular price $595.00 Sale

Persian Balouch Rug, Navy & Red this one-of-a-kind antique handcrafted flat weave area rug was created using influence of three different regions to create this tribal design. It would have taken a nomadic weaver around 2-3 months to finish weaving this piece.

They work beautifully as tapestries as well as floor rugs. The Baluch rug's small size is perfect for small spaces like Hallway, Foyer Entry or a Powder Room in your home.

Melissa's Tips & Tricks - We love to add these rugs as layers over sisal or seagrass to make any environment a bit more warm and cozy, adding a little antiquity, and character. We find them especially welcome for those who enjoy your coastal home in the winter months.

FACTS & HISTORY: Balochistan is a province of Pakistan. Located in the southwestern region of the country, Balochistan is the largest province of Pakistan by land area but is the least populated one. The area of Balochistan, the home of the Baluch rug (also Belouch, Balouch or Balooch), borders the south-east of Kerman on the south-eastern edges of the Iranian plateau in Iran, western Pakistan and south Afghanistan. Baluch rugs were influenced by three regions, giving them a distinct style that's adopted several different cultures into its designs.
